The Boom Bang
The boys of The Boom Bang might live hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean, but that doesn’t stop them from blasting out grungy surf punk just as well as their West Coast counterparts. Their sweaty, loose garage rock bombast incorporates delicious surf punk sounds with sticky sweet melodies.
Katie Costello
Katie Costello may only be 18 years old, but her mighty imagination yields a one-of-a-kind kazoo virtuosity and a unique lyrical approach to her vintage-esque original tunes. She has graced the LA & NY club scene and counts Billie Holliday, X, Fiona Apple, New Buffalo, and Bob Dylan among her musical inspirations.
Cousins
Drawing inspiration from the playful sensibility of Deerhoof and the honest poetics of Julie Doiron, Cousins bring calm subtlety and vigorous intensity together in a performance that is both shocking and intimate. For fans of Women, Department of Eagles, Cryptacize or Chad VanGaalen.
The Aviation Orange
The mixture of guitars and synthesizers may not be something new, but The Aviation Orange brings their own unique tone to the genre. Intricate song writing, harmonization, and music layering is combined to make this band stand out, drawing comparisons to bands like the Pixies, New Order, and The Shins.
For Hours And Ours
For Hours And Ours is a youthful, energetic pop band with searing vocal and horn lines juxtaposed with ambient, brooding guitar work. Their influences span the rock and pop spectrums, from 90s emo to shoegaze, and from progressive rock to top 40 radio.
Chris Kasper
A product of lifelong musical involvement, Chris Kasper incorporates a vast array of influences in one original sound that appeals to rockers, folkies, hillbillies, and everyone in between. Chris has independently toured the US and Europe and has joined Amos Lee and Joe Jackson on the road.
