Here we have Blog #2 from Tanner Howe of Disco Curtis. Not quite a veteran but not a newbie either, Tanner has started seeing some new (and slightly weird) Warped Tour Fashion styles with the weather change. Greetings from Minneapolis, MN! I have now been on the Vans Warped Tour for a couple of weeks and have seen more trending fashion styles as well as some original and obscure styles.
Unlike my first blog (referring to the blistering summer heat), the tour has been breezy and beautiful weather for the last few days. With cooler weather, comes a slightly different style in fashion. The first week on the tour, I saw a girl attempt to stay cool in the heat by wearing nothing but stickers on her top half… But this past week in the Midwest has been slightly cooler. Tank tops and flips flops cover the Warped Tour territory. Short white shorts and rompers (see Jess’s Blog) constantly catch my eye as well.

As far as original and obscure styles, I saw a pale girl, who died her HUGE hair bright white and had white makeup powder covering her lips (it looked as though she had stuffed a powered donut into her mouth). She wore a white tank top, a fluffy white skirt, tall white tube socks, and white Converse with white laces. Needless to say, she only wanted to be seen in white. White is always a popular summer trend, but she was glowing in the sun like a walking streetlight! Her white style, so awkwardly obscure, made an impression on me. I enjoy seeing new things such as this.
I’ll continue watching people this week as we move into Canada and head toward the west coast! Blog #3 will be coming soon.
